design diversity series

kansas city art institute // 2016–current

goal: to show students that the field of design can benefit greatly from diverse backgrounds, viewpoints and abilities by facilitating interactions with successful kcai alumni who are examples of that reality. one guest per semester presents their work, sits in on studio classes as a guest critic, conducts portfolio reivews, and shares meals with students over a three day period. funded by the executive vice president for academic affairs’ discretionary fund and Joyce c. hall restricted fund.
